Slam the Gavel welcomes Dr. Alyse Price Tobler to the podcast. Dr. Alyse spoke a little about her background story of SEVERE Parental Alienation and what she has studied in 'two study' her Ph.D.
Dr. Alyse read into her thesis, which explained what severe levels of Parental Alienation look like versus MILD or MODERATE. She then talked about the PATHOLOGY of an alienating parent (as well as step-parents and grandparents), the lack of treatment protocols and the struggles mental health practitioners often face when dealing in a toxic family court/private practice with children and adult child survivors of SEVERE Parental Alienation.
We talked about what Mental Health Practioner challenges are when facing working in Family Court, their competency levels and lack of a code of practice standards with Parental Alienation, Mental Health Practioner and vicarious trauma and consequent mental and physical health challenges as well as current lack of professional clinical supervision and last, Mental health practitioner lack of a current treatment protocol from which to follow.
Much of her research is very shocking to hear for some listeners/viewers as it is about SEVERE levels of child abuse and SPA.
