This book shares her search for freedom and light in a society based on patriarchal religion and laws. Her book speaks out on the ideas and belies in our society which enable sexism, racism, the denigration of human rights as well as the intolerance of indifference.
    Coral's thoroughly documented   book exposes the dark side of human nature when people have no value. A healthy society must have the courage to address all these issues and speak out about them and bring them to light. Indifference also encourages a "silent violence," which was the type of violence Coral experienced in her own home, community, religious circles and especially the JUDICIAL SYSTEM.
     Implications of Christian fundamentalism's infiltration into courts motivated Coral to publish this new edition of her memoir. When reading Coral's memoir and her experience under the backlash of Christian Fundamentalism will become deeply concerned for the future of JUSTICE, equality and freedom which also includes religious freedom under the United States Constitution.
