Laurie Smith, LMSW, Discusses Changing Gears In 2023 And Anything Can Happen

   Slam the Gavel welcomes back Laurie Smith, LMSW to the podcast. She was last on Season 3, Episode 170. We had a great discussion on why we go through something horrific and wrestle with the belief that it's not fair. Life is not fair. It was never meant to be fair. It is how we react to the unfairness. Don't discount your self in a bad situation.
     " Do not get lost in the story line that trauma is trying to place you in," Laurie adds, there is a greater thread on why things happen," Laurie explains. People think, "we change it through buffering, we change the outside world through the inside out."
   We discussed how life is not fair, clear YOUR clutter, UNDERSTAND your trauma, FIND your TRIBE and return to Nature.  Somatic Trauma and if you don't deal with it, it will affect your body with chronic illness.
   "It's liberating to know your own assets" Laurie says and find your own support or you will be set up to fail."
