Sybil Cummin, MA, LPC, ACS Discusses Being A Professional Counselor Specializing In Working With Survivors Of Domestic Violence

Slam the Gavel welcomes Sybil Cummin on to the show. Sybil is a licensed professional counselor and approved clinical supervisor running a small group private counseling practice in Arvada, Colorado.  She specializes in working with victims and survivors of domestic violence and narcissistic abuse including the youngest child witnesses to the abuse. 
     Sybil has created a training website for training other mental health professionals on working with survivors including how to assess and safety plan, how to assess for domestic violence in couples therapy and how to support victims and survivors when they are dealing with all aspects of the legal system.  Sybil has provided several online trainings for a continuing education program for social workers as well.
    In order to close the gaps in support for survivors of narcissistic abuse, Sybil has recently launched a new online coaching program called Rising Beyond Power and Control. Members have access to virtual trainings, a safe online forum for connection, interviews with other experts, small group coaching sessions and individual coaching sessions.  The focus in this program is helping women manage post separation abuse and heal from their abusive relationships.
   Sybil emphasizes that there is hope for parents and children throughout this process and rising beyond.
