There was once a young girl who lived with her grandmother in a small house at the end of the village. When the girl was 15 the old woman became ill and called the young girl to her and gave her her spindle, shuttle, and needle so she could earn her living. The young maiden worked hard and always had what she needed. One day a prince came to her village looking for the richest and also the poorest girl in the village. He went to see the young maiden sitting in her home working. Would she be the girl he was looking for?
