Slo Mo: A Podcast with Mo Gawdat
Today I'm honored to speak with my brilliant friend Dr. Fred Luskin, who I met at the World Happiness Summit in Miami in 2019. Fred founded and serves as the Director of the Stanford University Forgiveness Projects, among other academic positions. At Stanford, Fred teaches The Art of Happiness, Meditation, Developing Emotional Intelligence and The Psychology of Storytelling, in addition to giving numerous workshops and talks worldwide. His book Forgive for Good is the best-selling self-help book published on the topic of forgiveness, and there's no doubt that he is the world's most prominent expert on the topic.
The forgiveness project has successfully explored forgiveness therapy with people who suffered from the violence in Northern Ireland, Sierra Leone as well as the attacks on the World Trade Center on 9/11. Forgiveness reduces anger, stress, and depression, and leads to optimism and hope. It's an elixir for many of our mental ailments, but the ego tries to you from embracing it.
