Firstly, they are called 'The Good People' now that we've got that out of the way please welcome author Morgan Daimler.
Morgan has been a practicing witch since the 1990's and studying Irish folklore and mythology since the mid-90's. Growing up around the Irish-American diaspora contributed to this interest which came to include other Celtic language speaking cultures, such as Scottish and Welsh, and eventually the more loosely connected Norse, with a focus on folklore relating to fairies. Morgan began teaching and writing about fairies in the early 2000's and has presented workshops on related topics in the United States and Ireland as well as presenting as an independent scholar at the University of Ohio's 'Fairies and the Fantastic' conference in 2019.
I got huge amount out of this conversation, and I'm very grateful to Morgan for her openness and for sharing the wisdom and knowledge she's gained researching and engaging with this subject matter. It brought the phenomena of Jinn and 'The Good people' a lot closer for me. In fact it's really solidified what I already suspected in that this is a phenomena that communicates using the symbols that are culturally relevant to the witness.
We even had the classic technical problems when discussing how dangerous these entities are which is essentially a paranormal badge of honour and a clear indication that we were in the right territory.
