During the global celebration of Bhagavan Ramana’s 142nd Jayanti (birthday) organised by Arunachala Ashrama in New York on 2nd January 2022 Michael James discusses the significance and meaning of ‘I am I’, about which he had recently written an article entitled The Ramaṇa mahāvākya: ‘நான் நான்’ (nāṉ nāṉ) or ‘अहम् अहम्’ (aham aham), ‘I am I’.

While discussing this Michael discusses the meaning and implications of various passages from Bhagavan’s writings, including the maṅgalam verse for his Tamil translation of Vivēkacūḍāmaṇi, Hṛdaya kuhara madhyē, Uḷḷadu Nāṟpadu Anubandham, Āṉma-Viddai, Upadēśa Undiyār, Upadēśa Sāram, Uḷḷadu Nāṟpadu, Vicāra Saṅgraham section 1.1 and Śrī Aruṇācala Akṣaramaṇamālai.
