St. Anne has long been revered by not only Christianity but is also mentioned in Islam and was a main saint of worship by the early church.

Her appeal comes from being a rather relatable saint - not a martyr or a nun - but instead a mother, wife and grandmother.

Granted, mother and grandmother to two very pivotal individuals.
