Many people are now aware that there is an Anti RICE movement, (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) growing in human use. RICE has been used widely for the treatment of acute soft tissue injury in human therapy for years and RICE is still widely used in professional sport despite some medics campaigning against it. However, in the equestrian world cold therapy or Cryotherapy is widely used without a lot of negativity; let’s look at why this is and at the benefits of RICE in equestrian sport in more detail
