Yoda was the Grand Master of the Jedi Order, easily the most powerful being in the Star Wars movies and books AND comics..in the light side of the force that is. Sidious, AKA Palpatine, was the strongest Sith to have (arguably) ever lived. We know this, and we know that Yoda lost to Sidious in Revenge of the Sith. However, the two share something in common, the both were Master to Count Dooku.
