This is really cool and I can't believe I didn't know about this until now!

Qui-Gon's lightsaber was given to Anakin Skywalker before his other lightsabers were made. This makes Qui-Gon's lighsaber, Anakin's first.

Very nice touch to bring this into canon. I like that.
