This ring, thanks to the CANON Visual Dictionary - shows us where this ring is from and the etchings on it that belong to a very old group of sages...Now these sages were found as statues in Palpatine's office in Revenge of the Sith as he walks with Anakin and fights Mace Windu before Order 66. What connection could Snoke have to these sages? Could he be one of them?
