Why Anakin Skywalker Didn't Use a GREEN Lightsaber - Star Wars Explained

In Star Wars, we see only select Jedi Masters equipped with a Green lightsaber, indicative of a masterful use of the force...so why did Anakin Skywalker, who was made of the force itself, not use one? There are some canon and legends discrepancies here which I'd like to discuss.
