Why Did Darth Sidious Go to the Jedi Temple in Revenge of the Sith? - Star Wars Explained

In the Revenge of the Sith, after Order 66, we see Darth Sidious (on the playback by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda) at the Jedi Temple telling Anakin Skywalker that he has done well and to rule the galaxy, but why is he at the temple? What was he even doing there? There's much more to this little scene that seems unimportant.
