WHY Kylo Ren's Lightsaber Crystal is Cracked (Darth Vader) - Star Wars The Last Jedi Theory

In Star Wars The Last Jedi we know Kylo Ren has a crack kyber crystal in his lightsaber (as we saw in Star Wars The Force Awakens). Why is this? This episode has many different theories I've thought and pondered over as to just how this lightsaber crystal is cracked...what's missing...? Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi has a shard of a lightsaber crystal around his neck as a necklace, and this has been rumoured to be Darth Vader's RED lightsaber crystal. Will Luke use this crystal? Will Luke have a red lightsaber? Will he fight Snoke? Will Anakin Skywalker ever take the high ground?
