Until now, Swedish artist Anna Cassel (1860–1937) has primarily been known as a close friend and supporter of Hilma af Klint. However, new research shows that her role was far more significant than previously assumed. The new book Anna Cassel – The Saga of the Rose, containing never before published works, reveals an art historical discovery that yet again reminds us of the complex and fascinating story of Hilma af Klint and her artistic collaborators.
