We talk to Andrew Ricks - Singer and guitarist for UK Power Pop band The Stayawakes. Andrew recalls growing up on the Isle of Wight and seeing bands just a few years older than him achieving success in the charts which fed the fire to chase his own dreams of playing in a rock band. We chat about the formation of his early band Day of the Fight which would be the early building blocks for what would become The Stayawakes and we also talk about our mutual love of Video Shops, VHS collecting and also the importance of such huge movie hits as Police Academy 4 and Karate Kid 3.
