Religious Geniuses and Heretics

The author of The Refutation of All Heresies, and other early Christian writers were very keen to let everyone know how their view of Christianity was the right one. In this episode we continue our conversation with Dr. David Litwa about the heresiologists. We talk about the interesting fact that they were all pretty much accused of heresy themselves. Did the ancient Gnostics really practice sex magic as the heresiologists said? Did the Naassenes call themselves Gnostics? What was self-deification in the Gnostic practices?
