NOTE: YOU MAY WANT TO WATCH ON YOUTUBE AS THE LAST HALF OF THE SHOW IS US SHOWING AND TALKING ABOUT ART ON THE SCREEN: https://youtu.be/pMGl_Z_xMS4
We speak to Montreal based visual artist Alex Coma about his esoterically inspired “spiritual landscapes” as well as the links between art and the mystic. PLUS, we show off a few of his works in the vid and discuss them. Alex constructs surreal, dreamy scenes, which are filled with symbols and metaphors, which attempt to describe the world he lives in. Mixing ancient occult teachings and influenced by many antique painters and philosophers, he creates meaningful artworks, which end up speaking for themselves.
