Ep. 111 - For an instant splash of colour in Spring planting bulbs now throughout the Autumn is the single most effective way of welcoming in the new gardening season, so Lucy and Saul take a look at their recent bulb orders.

The mellow fruitfulness of Autumn has been heralded by the subtle change in temperature and darker mornings and evenings in the garden. For Lucy Chamberlain and Saul Walker this starts one of their favourite times of year as Lucy's vegetable patch is at maximum yield producing food for East Donyland Hall and Saul revels in the changing colours in the canopies of his precious treescape at Stonelands. So join us throughout the season as we bring tales of crispy leaves, hibernating plants and plenty of pumpkins!
 
Although Autumn may bring signs that this year's gardening season is coming to end - it is also the perfect time to plan and prepare for next years display - and this is very nicely encapsulated by planting bulbs. Bulbs are always a trust exercise in the hope of a brilliant display to start the Spring in the coming year, so Lucy and Saul have a chat about what bulbs they are purchasing and how they use them in the gardens they look after.
