Talking Heads – a Gardening Podcast
Spring is in the air - as the early season flowers bring a hint of colour and joy, banishing the winter blues away. Head Gardeners such as Lucy and Saul relish this moment in the year as the starting gun for a season of flower, foliage and ultimate fun. Gardening kicks off and all the hard work of winter enters a crescendo of horticultural wonder.
Many gardeners both old and new grow vegetables, in fact if there is one section of our industry that is always popular, growing your own food is one of them. But have you stopped and thought about growing your own cut flowers at the same time. With a few packets of seed and a little space you can be harvesting bouquets all year long, and reducing the 'flower miles' that is associated with buying pre-packaged flowers at your local shop. Lucy and Saul discuss what they grow and how it has become an essential part of their productive plots.
