He covers the contributions of Mesopotamians, The Greeks, Copernicus, Brahe, Kepler, Galileo, Newton, Halley, Lagrange, Laplace, Gauss, Le Verrier, Galle, Einstein, and Bretagnon. He concludes that our knowledge has progressed immensely, but in a way, we have come full circle!
