Simon P. Kennedy is research fellow at the University of Queensland in Australia and a non-resident fellow at the Danube Institute in Budapest. He is associate editor of Quadrant magazine and teaches at a variety of institutions, including the Lachlan Macquarie Institute and Queensland Theological College.

Stephen Wolfe is a postdoctoral fellow in the James Madison Program at Princeton University. He completed his PhD in political philosophy at LSU in 2020. He has several years of teaching experience, including online teaching, and has published several academic articles. He was born and raised in Napa, California and currently lives in North Carolina with his wife and four children. Stephen holds to the Westminster Confession of Faith. He and his family are members of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge, LA.

Joel Carini is a Ph.D. student in philosophy at Saint Louis University. He holds an MDiv from Westminster Theological Seminary and an MA from the University of Chicago. He writes regularly at his Substack, "The Natural Theologian," joelcarini.substack.com.

Benjamin Mabry is an assistant professor of political science at Lincoln Memorial University. He is a graduate of the University of New Orleans and Louisiana State University. Previously he taught at Louisiana Christian University and Georgia Gwinnett College. His writing has appeared at First Things, the American Mind, and elsewhere.

Josh and Timon talk to him about his case and what a Trump victory in 2024 means. #DouglasMackey #RickyVaughn #Meme #Twitter #FreeSpeech #Censorship #Biden #FBI #Court #Justice On January 26, 2021–six days after Joe Biden was inaugurated– eight FBI and other law enforcement agents showed up at Douglass Mackey’s home and arrested him on felony charges with a ten-year maximum sentence. His crime: posting a Twitter meme, which mocked Hillary Clinton supporters he posted almost five years earlier. Mackey had run the pro-Trump twitter account @RickyVaughn99. The government claimed his satirical posts joking about “texting to vote” constituted a conspiracy on "social media to spread disinformation relevant to the impending 2016 Presidential Election." Specifically, the government was concerned that "disinformation spread by these individuals often took the form of 'memes.'" Despite living in Florida, Mackey was prosecuted in the Eastern District of New York before two liberal judges and was convicted. He was sentenced to seven months in federal prison on October 18, and ordered to report federal prison on January 8, 2024. He will appeal the case. Reversing this conviction is essential not just to protect his own freedom, but to prevent politically motivated suppression of free speech for all Americans.
