The Listening Party: New York Dolls

We lost David Johansen this past week. He was the last member of the lineup to be on the debut album to pass away. Some know him better as Buster Poindexter. Better may not be the appropriate word. Some know him as Buster Poindexter. Or, the cabbie in Scrooged. Brad in Freejack with Mick Jagger, Emilio Estevez, and Anthony Hopkins. Anyway, he’s been around a while. It is widely acknowledged that New York Dolls had at least some influence and impact on the band that landed us this podcast, KISS. So, we go through the self-titled debut as a tribute to Mr. Johansen-Poindexter.
