Strategies to Address Negative Self-Talk in Neurodivergent Children

31 min • 9 november 2022

In part one, Katelyn and I talked about how neurodivergent children often experience more criticism, shame and correction which can lead to negative self-talk. Examples include "I'm bad", "No one likes me" and "I can't do anything right". Negative self talk can contribute to anxiety, depression and more. Katelyn and I not only talk about how negative self-talk can develop but also our own negative self-talk. If you haven't already listened to part one, please check out the last episode before listening to today's episode. In part two, we are talking about strategies on how to support children experiencing negative self-talk. We can't wait to share this important episode with you!
