Dear Feel Love Now Community,
Karma is often misunderstood as punishment, fate, or something looming over us from past lifetimes. But Swami Shankarananda reminds us that karma simply means action—it is neutral. When we release fear-based beliefs about karma, we can embrace it as a powerful force for creation and transformation.
Instead of wondering what past actions might come back to haunt us, we can ask:
* What would I love to create?
* How can I align with pure Source energy to act from joy and aliveness?
The truth is, we are not separate from the energy of life itself. The same creative force that moves the universe flows through us. In every moment, we have the opportunity to shape our reality with awareness and intention.
Here’s one of our favorite quotes from Swami Nityananda
“In our popular concepts about Karma, there’s a feeling of doom or a feeling of punishment or a feeling of, ‘I might be a victim of something that happened millions of lifetimes ago and I don’t know what it is and it’s going to come and, like, bam me in the face.’ So, let go of that.
One of the things that Swami Shankarananda emphasized was: karma just means action. It’s very neutral. As soon as you understand that it’s neutral, then you can have a freeing, empowering, joyful, exciting relationship to karma because then you’re asking yourself, ‘What would I love to create?’ The pure energy that pours into time and space is here [within us] and I can only act because I am connected to pure Source energy.
This is true for every human on the planet. The moment that I realize that, what I’m doing, then, is simply allowing that dynamic—joy and aliveness and vitality and excitement of pure Source energy—to be creative in pure ways through me.”
