Lighter bikes are faster up hills - that's pretty much a fact. And, when the goal is to get to the top of the hill as fast as humanly possible - i.e. during a hill climb race - getting a bike as light as possible is vital. Joe and Jack, from the BikeRadar team are aficionados of the hill climb bike - over the years they've competed nationally at hill climbs, with their bikes weighing around the 5kg mark.
