Today's podcast focuses on Cyril Wilkinson (1888 - 1960), a colonel, a distinguished student of Literature, a Fellow at Worcester College, Oxford, and a pre-eminent eccentric.
We begin with his obituary, written by Nicolas Barker for The Book Collector in 1966, and published again in 2019 by Bernard Quaritch Ltd in 'At First All Went Well and Other Brief Lives'.
This is followed (at the 10min mark) by an article written by Wilkinson himself for The Book Collector entitled 'A Small Collection At Oxford', which appeared in our Spring 1956 issue.
Both are read by James Fleming.
