John Dugan. ("Grandpa Sawyer". The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. 1974)

Continuing my series on "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", my guest on Episode 238 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast is John Dugan. Known mostly for his rile as "Grandpa Sawyer". He is the only living cast member from the original film who has been in three different TCM movies, including "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation" and 2013's Texas Chainsaw. We talk about everything from the 1974 film, to how his mom made the best fried squirrel, yes, fried squirrel. We discuss several other of his roles that people might not be aware of such as "Rock Paper Dead (Rock, Paper, Scissors)", Stephen King's "The Boogeyman", "Butcher Boys", "Deviant Behavior" and "In the Pines". We briefly talk about his bouts with oral cancer and emphysema. He's been through a lot but his demeanor and sense of humor are top notch. Enjoy!
