Before the deluge of Metroidvania type games came Axiom Verge. Thomas Happ's intriguing alternate reality began development in 2010, eventually surfacing in 2015 to acclaim and commercial success. Leon, James, Josh, Michiel and community contributors do their best to judge the game on its own merits, while still making some of the inevitable comparisons.
