After a break for personal reasons (i.e dealing with the coronavirus lockdown), we're back with Episode #12.
This week, I talked with Kashmir Leese, who has grown to become a pillar of the UK underground dance scene in the last decade or so. We discussed his new film, 'Kiwewe Nyeusi' which deals with '"...the effects of quarantine during the COVID outbreak, touching on subjects like depression, toxic masculinity, stereotypes, trauma, men's mental health but specifically black men's mental health." We also touched on some issues in the dance scene, the idea of being a guest in hip hop culture and how the Black Lives Matter movement has affected us.
