Well, the day I knew would finally come has finally come. We have come to the end of this book. Now, I told you when we began that it’s been criticized because it has a weak ending. Well, it does. It’s not a good ending. It’s quite likely when you are in a conversation about books that are great, but have really weak endings, this will be the top one that comes to mind. Maybe not, but maybe so.
This book has been so fun. I mean, we’ve had murderous invisible hands, spiders, bats, and the curse with the hair and the orchids. We’ve crawled through an Egyptian pyramid, and discovered Ferrara creating the nefarious incense. I mean, it’s been a fun ride. Let’s just try to remember that as we finish this up.
And now, The Knight of the Necropolis, Part 8 of 8, by Sax Rohmer.
