Other than you have probably heard of affirmations and mantras to be new age buzzwords, do you really know about the power behind them? And the deep meaning of them?
Do you have affirmations or mantras that you use and that have changed your mindset and your life?
Our mind accepts as truth, the critical statements we tell ourselves, but it can also accept our positive statements and thoughts we think.
The words we speak and think hold great power over the kind of life that we create for ourselves. Many people live their lives plagued by negative thoughts and never even realise this. They tell themselves and others that they are doomed to fail, not good enough, or not worthy of love, yet they are amazed when their reality starts reflecting these words. Just as the subconscious mind accepts as truth the critical statements we tell ourselves, it will also accept the power of affirmations. The subconscious mind does not know the difference between what's real or imagined.
You have probably heard of the famous phrases “Words become things” and “the quality of your life is based on the quality of the questions you ask yourself” and truly our outer life is a reflection of our inner life!!
I have to give credit to the affirmations I chose to say daily to myself, that helped me on my healing journey and radically shifted my life, and played a key part in helping me choose another reality.
From a neuroscience perspective, our brain requires constant signals and reprogramming to help us make new choices. The signals can often start from reading something, saying it out loud, and choosing to believe that IT IS possible.
I am certain that seeing and reading and hearing my affirmations out loud daily helped me make different choices.
Affirmations are a powerful tool for creating our desired reality. We consciously and subconsciously invite opportunity into our lives when we say affirmations. Trust in the power of your affirmations, and you will very quickly create what you have already stated to be true.
You may not even realise that you are already daily saying negative affirmations to yourself like "I am not good enough" or "I am not worthy of love", or "I am not clever enough", or "I am so unlucky" "I am always in debt" and guess what that becomes your reality!
