When it comes to the Bible, we often think in terms of two levels, reading and studying. And both of those approaches to Scripture are good and important. However, there's a third approach to engaging with God's word that is in many ways most important - meditating on it.
In today's interview, David Mathis explains how meditating on Scripture can reinvigorate the way Christians relate to God. He shares his own journey with biblical meditation and gives encouragement to the listener to start this habit in 2023.
David Mathis serves as senior teacher and executive editor at desiringGod.org, a pastor at Cities Church in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and an adjunct professor at Bethlehem College & Seminary in Minneapolis.
