One thing I have missed greatly through this pandemic is live music. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who feels differently. Jazz music is especially vulnerable in that live jazz shows / concerts are where the magic of jazz conversation and spontaneity "really" intersect. A professional level of this can be obtained in studio recordings, but Sonny Rollins always said that records were like promos for the live shows. That being said, I've assembled a massive playlist of over 900+ "live" jazz albums and hit "shuffle" to give it a spontaneous element. My only veto is not to duplicate the same featured artist. So here are 21 "live jazz" tracks to take your ears back to live performances. Enjoy (and don't forget to tip the bartender)!
