We are delighted to have director and editor Jennifer Sheridan on this weeks episode.
Hosted by Giles Alderson and co-host Andrew Rodger, we sit down and chat about her debut feature film Rose: A Love Story
We talk about how she went from making award-winning short films such as 'Rocket', 'Acoustic Kitty' and 'Set Adrift', to making her directorial debut 'Rose'. She mentions how she started from editing commercials, to editing shorts.
Jennifer talks about how she was inspired by a teacher, how she taught herself to edit and a great reason why you should make shorts or films.
She also discussed how restrictions are good in film-making and the importance of doing your homework. Why you shouldn't have too many expectations, how she got her agent and dealing with a million decisions.
We can't wait for you to hear this weeks episode and we also announce to winners of our competition, which took place last week. You don't want to miss it!
Synopsis: Rose: A Love Story is a chilling, deeply moving and critically-acclaimed horror thriller starring Sophie Rundle (Peaky Blinders, Jamestown, Bodyguard) and Matt Stokoe (Cursed, Jamestown, Misfits). Gripped by a violent, terrifying illness, Rose lives in seclusion with her husband, but the arrival of a stranger shatters the fragile refuge they have built.
The British film premiered at last year's BFI London Film Festival and received strong reviews. It was also nominated for the BIFA Raindance Discovery Award.
Sophie Rundle will next be seen in the sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders, which is currently filming. Most recently, Sophie was seen alongside George Clooney in his recent sci fi feature The Midnight Sky.
Jennifer is currently filming a big secret TV series and her latest TV directing work The Snow Spider is on I-Player now.
ROSE: A LOVE STORY is released on the following platforms; Sky, iTunes, Amazon Prime, Google, Xbox, TalkTalk, Rakuten and BT
