Business Rundown: The Disappearing Drugstore Chain

Walgreens has announced plans to shutter 1,200 of their US stores. It’s the latest in a trend; CVS reported they would soon close 900 locations and Rite-Aid has already closed 500 stores after filing for bankruptcy.

So why are the days of finding a brick-and-mortar pharmacy on every corner becoming more and more a thing of the past?
