British Prime Minister Richi Sunak announced that the U.K. will be pausing a ban on new gas and diesel cars, a measure that was supposed to be in place by 2030. Sunak said Britain's climate goals were financially impacting the average citizen too much. The Prime Minister was the first British head of state in a decade not to attend the United Nations General Assembly where the topic of climate change was a major talking point.
