The United States and the United Kingdom launched a series of missile and air strikes against the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. The U.S. and its allies have been warning the rebel group that this would happen if attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea. The Houthis have vowed retaliation while the West is concerned with an expanding war in the region.
