We are back! Welcome to the January 2025 episode of News-Sweep in which we dive into seven of the most important news of January!
In this episode, we cover the inauguration of new US President Donald Trump and his recent political statements. Turning to the Middle East, we touch upon the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas. In California, the wildfires left massive devastation and in Tibet a powerful earthquake rocked the region. We also dive into the New Orleans truck attack, which shook the US on New Year’s Day. Furthermore, Canada will have to find a new prime minister as Justin Trudeau announced his resignation.
To include some joyful news, we celebrate Thailand as the first Southeast Asian country to legalize same-sex marriage!
Sadly this will be the last episode from the two of us (for the time being) - thank you for listening!
