Episode #13: Rock Stardom and Reinvention With Dave Benedict

Dave Benedict is best known as the bass player for Canadian rock band Default. The band has been a staple on Canadian and international radio since their first smash hit, Wasting My Time, debuted in 2001. A string of big songs followed over the next few years, along with a Juno award and arena tours with Nickelback, Hinder, and other big names of the era.

But what goes up, as they say, must come down. Eventually the band dropped out of the spotlight and Dave was forced to reinvent himself. He decided to go back to school and eventually became a graphic designer, photographer, videographer, and entrepreneur. He also recently returned to the music scene not just with Default, but with a supergroup of sorts called Bonds of Mara.
