Season 1: Old Favorite Fairy Tales

The very first fairy tale printed in English! Tom Thumb is a boy no bigger than a thumb, and he gets into lots of adventures including almost drowning in pudding, being swallowed by a cow and a fish! And becoming friends with King Arthur! The lesson of the story is "don't be a smart boy" - meaning if you think you are so smart you will be able to get away with doing the wrong thing, then you are in for a world of trouble.  

The Junior Classics is a rescue operation to preserve the wisdom in the Classics before it is lost forever. Our goal is to inspire children with a love of good reading and a real and lasting interest in Western history, literature, and scholarship. My hope is to empower you, the parents, with a resource you can trust to enrich your child’s mind and spirit. 

We don’t want these stories lost so our children don’t have to learn these lessons on their own.
