Amorepacific announced on September 17 that it has entered into an investment agreement to secure a minority shareholding of cult Korean Beauty brand COSRX. The deal is believed to be worth around $150 million USD.

Amorepacific is hopeful the merger will enhance its ability to target the MZ generation, particularly in overseas markets where COSRX makes the majority of its sales. In exchange, COSRX will be able to leverage Amorepacific’s R&D and production capabilities.
