For over 30 years, Sue Hum was the costume designer for Late Night and Late Show with David Letterman. She helmed the crafting and execution of everything we saw on the show from the aesthetic of Dave's wardrobe, the designing and production of the humorous suits and costumes he and other members of the cast wore, and of course the iconic annual Halloween bit where children would come in wearing hilarious trick or treat costumes. In this first episode Mike explores Sue's roots of where she came from and how she ended up becoming part of Dave's company, by way of Broadway and Another World. She also worked on other projects including a Run D MC video before embarking on what would become a legendary career. Sue and Mike barely scratch the surface in this fascinating behind the scenes retrospective tour, leaving so much on the table for future episodes.
