Gasoline cost 26 cents a gallon, Bread 14 cents a loaf and a gallon of Milk would set you back 84 cents. And the Spring 1949 issue of Planet Stories magazine contained stories by Henry Hasse, Ray Bradbury, Damon Knight and on page 31, Runaway by Alfred Coppel…
