Episode 30 - Alisha's Story - Hazel's Micropreemie Journey (Born at 1 lb 2 ounces and 23+0 Weeks)

Today's interview took me back in time to our micropreemie journey, but in Alisha's story, her daughter was born even earlier and smaller (!!). Hazel was born five years ago at just 1 pound 2 ounces and 23+0 weeks - this means she was born the very first day of Alisha's 23rd week of pregnancy. Despite being born on the edge of viability, Hazel has a miraculous story that reminds us just how strong and resilient children can be. As a licensed mental health therapist, Alisha also shares about how her background helped her recognize and deal with the trauma that is associated with a NICU stay. She also shares about her anxiety during her second pregnancy following her traumatic first birth. This one just made my heart happy, and I can't wait for you all to listen!
