The Ministry are Egyptian vampires also know as the Followers of Set. These Setites are knows as corrupters and treated with mistrust throughout kindred society. The Main reason they are tolerated is because of their access to powerful secret magics, political connections and wealth. Of course they use all of this to being about the return of their god Set, but they can always use a little more of everything in their quest.
