We take a small detour for part of this episode and talk about a young 19 year old Julius Caesar catching malaria before jumping back to Caesar in Gaul. Winter is here and Caesar has finished his first year in Gaul. But what does Caesar expect of his army in winter quarters? How does he train them to become the elite veteran legions of the later Civil Wars? Find out in this episode!

The Show
The March of History is a biographical history podcast on the life of Julius Caesar and the fall of the Roman Republic.
