Repeat of March 6, 2014 with Dr Chutkan, author of Gut Bliss. Dr Chutkan considers both the art and science of medicine equally essential to achieving a healthy and balanced mind and body. She experienced that essential mix growing up with an Indian surgeon father and a Jamaican dancer/lawyer mother. Her education included intensive study in languages and literature as well as the sciences. As a physician, her primarily plant-based diet, Vinyasa yoga practice and long-distance running are the foundation of her own healthy regimen and she strives to highlight the importance of nutrition, exercise and leisure to her patients. She is dedicated to helping people live not just longer, but better lives.
